About

THE TASMANIAN SOCIETY OF JUSTICES OF THE PEACE (TSJPI)

We are a society formed in the interests of Justices of the Peace (JP’s) in Tasmania. We liaise with relevant bodies on behalf of our Tasmanian member JP’s and provide professional development opportunites, social activites and regular updates provided by our newsletter – The JP Herald. We were formerly known as the Tasmanian Society of Honorary Justices and the Honorary Justices Association of Southern Tasmanian, founded 1922.

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every second month commencing in February each year at the Town Hall Conference Room. Members are welcome at all meetings with visitors and guests by request.

Professional development sessions and social events are offered to members on a regular basis with merchandise also available for purchase separately – lapel pins, magnetic name plates, bumper stickers and society mugs.
